John Foss is a Vice President at ValStone Partners and is primarily responsible for sourcing, underwriting and executing new acquisitions, as well as asset management for the firm’s private funds and related entities.
Prior to joining ValStone Partners, Mr. Foss worked at Plante Moran Real Estate Investment Advisors in a variety of roles. While at Plante Moran, Mr. Foss assisted and coordinated in the acquisition, disposition and financing of over $400 million of real estate transactions across all major asset classes.
At Plante Moran, Mr. Foss also played an integral role in the asset management of portfolios owned by several family office and private, high net-worth clients. His responsibilities included devising asset level strategy to improve financial performance of portfolio holdings and creating and implementing portfolio level strategies to optimize performance relative to clients’ investment goals.
Mr. Foss is an active member of the Urban Land Institute’s Michigan chapter, previously serving as the co-chair of the group’s Young Leaders Group and is also an alumnus of ULI Michigan’s Larson Center for Leadership. Mr. Foss received a BS in Economics from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor.
